"You're Not Special"

English teacher at a ~~rival~~ local high school tells graduating students they aren’t special.

I love this.

Teachers who don’t or haven’t taught in school districts where the majority of the students are super entitled and come from wealthy families in which parents spoil them and make them believe they truly are the center of the universe…you might not appreciate this as much. But this speech wasn’t written for your underdogs. It was written for our brats.

**Disclaimer** I loved my students this year. Even though they are from the wealthy upper class neighborhood and their parents do feel as though their child is the only student in the room. But some teachers aren’t as lucky and spent the year dealing with a rather large handful of jerk kids.
